Waiting Parents: Laura and Kiley
Thank you for taking the time to get to know our family. We want to begin by expressing our gratitude for the love and courage you are showing for this precious child through your adoption plan. Please know that we are praying for you and your baby. We pray for God’s peace and direction during this time. We want you to know that we are here to walk through this process with you, to encourage you, and to let you know how valuable you and your child are to us.
Here is our love story. Laura’s aunt has been friends with Kiley’s uncle for a long time and they decided to play matchmaker. Our first date was a picnic and we were inseparable after that. We have been married for 2 years and always knew we wanted a child. Our hearts are full of love and will provide a safe, nurturing and loving home for a child. As much as Laura wishes she could conceive and give birth to a child herself, through months of trying and tests we have come to the conclusion that adoption is the right path for us. Laura’s aunt was adopted so she has always hoped she could adopt a child one day as well.
Laura is a pharmacist and Kiley is a sports and recreational minister. We both love playing sports and going to sporting events, especially the Texas Rangers! We love going to concerts, amusement parks, and traveling to new places. Both of us grew up skiing every year and plan on a yearly ski trip tradition. A favorite place of ours is Broken Bow both in the winter and summer. We enjoy renting a cabin with friends. Hanging out around the campfire or going boating in the lake. Around town we enjoy bowling, putt-putt, and movies with friends.
What I love about Kiley. Kiley is a very kind, outgoing, and thoughtful person. He is always trying to help people in any way he can. Kiley is the type of person who never meets a stranger and loves to get to know new people. He is very active in our church and loves to serve others. He runs the church’s flag football and soccer league for 4 to 12 year olds.
What I love about Laura. Laura is a very smart, fun and giving person. She has an amazing sense of humor so we are constantly laughing. She loves the Lord and you can see it through how she cares for others. She loves to plan fun vacations and new things to do around town. There is never a dull moment.
We do have two adorable dogs named Pacey and Duke. Pacey is a toy poodle who loves cuddling and swimming. Duke is a terrier/blue heeler mix, Duke loves to play fetch and go for walks. We have a one-story house with 4 bedrooms and 2.5 baths. A covered patio with a pool and plenty of yard space. Family is very important to both of us. We are blessed to have close relationships with our extended family. Both of our immediate families live within 10 minutes of our house and are eager to help with childcare. Kiley’s job allows a flexible work schedule so he will be able to provide childcare as well.
