Waiting Parents: Anna and Nathan
Hi! We are Anna and Nathan, and first, we want to say thank you for considering us and taking the time to learn more about our family. We can’t imagine how challenging this must be for you. The courage that it takes to consider an adoption plan for your precious child is amazing to us. And no matter what you choose, we only want the best for you and your baby.
Now, a little about us. We met through mutual friends in 2011, and as we chatted throughout the evening, we realized we shared a variety of interests including a love of music, going to concerts, skiing, traveling, and more. We’ve been married seven years and we love taking road trips, gathering with friends and family, and exploring new cities. But we also appreciate little things like rainy days, coffee dates, working on jigsaw puzzles, game nights, and taking our dog, Piper, for walks.
We have a large extended family (Nathan has five brothers and sisters and Anna has one brother) all within 10 to 20 minutes of us. Between birthdays, soccer and baseball games for our niece and nephew, and family dinners, there’s always a reason to get together. We also just welcomed a new nephew to the family!
Career-wise Nathan works in software sales and Anna is the editorial director for a creative marketing agency. Fortunately, we both work from home and have very flexible schedules, which means we can always prioritize family time and that we will always be here for our little one.
Our dog, Piper, joined our family in October 2017. We rescued her as a two-month-old puppy after she was abandoned at a construction site. She is the sweetest dog in the world, and her favorite things are snuggling, her stuffed toys (she has a whole basket of them), playing ball, treats, and napping by the fire. She also loves to talk — she never lets us forget when it’s time for her 5 p.m. snack!
While there is plenty more to tell, for now, we just want to say thank you for taking the time to learn more about us. And that we can promise this: If you choose us, we will welcome your child into our family and provide a safe, loving, happy home filled with every opportunity possible. We will bake cookies, read bedtime stories, play with cousins, travel, and more. We will be a family. But from the beginning, we will make sure your child understands that his/her journey began with you and your love.
