Waiting Parents: Alfonso and Nina
We are Alfonso, Nina, Jonathan, Levi and Harley Girl. We just want to start off by saying thank you for taking the time to get to know us. We know that this may be a difficult time, while trying to figure out the best option for your sweet baby. We hope and pray that you feel supported and loved no matter where you are at in the journey.
We “officially” met in 2004 through a cousin of Nina’s, however nothing ever started until 2007 when Alfonso came across Nina’s MySpace account. He remembered who she was and communicated through mutual friends to get her phone number. He asked first if it was ok, and she said yeah why not. That’s where our story began. We started dating in 2007, Alfonso’s senior year in high school and Nina’s junior year. We got married in February 2012.
Shortly after, we had our first son Jonathan in 2013. We were able to spend about 4 years with just us and him. We tried to have a baby when he turned 3, however resulted in 2 miscarriages, one of them being very traumatic. Adoption was and had always been a discussion in our marriage and knew that one day we would adopt. After the last miscarriage, we prayed and waited on whether we would try 1 more time or just move forward with adoption. After lots of prayer and support from friends and family, we decided to try again and we were blessed with our miracle babe Levi.
We enjoy spending time together whether it’s a weekend of baseball games, laying down in our living room in our pj’s watching movies or traveling. We enjoy getting together with close friends and family, eating and listening to music.
About Alfonso by Nina
Alfonso is very loving, funny, smart, hard working, supportive, patient and loyal. The list can go on honestly, but those are just some of my favorite attributes about him. He has been at his job since high school and has worked very hard to move up in the company as the sales manager. He loves trying new food, sweets, traveling and being with family. He will do anything to put a smile on the boys faces. He also makes sure that I too and being spoiled and taken care of. He always makes sure that I spend time to myself just to recoup if needed.
About Nina by Alfonso
Nina is the most selfless and caring person I know. She will do anything to help others at any time. She is a derm tech/ a newly promoted office manager at a med spa. She always goes above and beyond to make sure things are prepared at work and at home. I am proud to have her as my best friend.
Jonathan is 9 years old and is so smart, compassionate and determined. He loves baseball, history, and pizza. He can carry a conversation with anyone he meets and is always so fun to be around. He looks forward and talks often about having a baby sister at home and says that he is going to make sure he reads to her.
Levi is a 4 year old who is silly, smart, energetic and spontaneous. He is obsessed with dinosaurs and planes. He loves to eat snack foods and anything sweet. He is a joy to be around and knows to brighten up with day and make you laugh.
We have a great support system with friends and family, who are excited and look forward to meeting our sweet baby!
We admire your strength, courage, and selflessness for considering adoption for your baby. We want you to know that your baby will be loved unconditionally, cherished, and cared for their entire life. We will raise your baby in a Godly atmosphere surrounded by friends and family who will also support, encourage and uplift your baby. We want your baby to experience every good opportunity that presents itself. We are praying for peace, comfort, strength and guidance as you continue your pregnancy journey.
