Waiting Parents: Terry and Suzy
Hello from Colorado, We are Terry and Suzy, plus Liam!
We first met while working together as nurses at a local hospital. After working togeher for about a year, Terry asked Suzy on a date! We really enjoyed getting to know one another more, and spent the next couple years building beautiful memories together. In August of 2014, we married.

Why we want to adopt…
Early in our marriage, we discussed adoption as one way we would like to grow our family. At the time, we didn’t realize we would struggle with infertility.
In 2015, we began trying to have children, but soon realized it would be a difficult journey. We went to many specialists, but we were unable to carry a pregnancy beyond the first trimester. Although a difficult path, infertility taught us many important lessons and strengthened our marriage as we walked through it together.
In 2021, we were blessed to add our son, Liam, to our family through adoption. We are so thankful for his birth parents who loved him first. Becoming parents has been the greatest joy of our lives.
We continue to have a very strong desire to add more children to our family. We are hopeful that we will be able to continue to grow our family through adoption.
About Terry…
Terry is a wonderful husband and dad. He is very hardworking and thoughtful in planning as he cares for our family. He works as a family nurse practitioner. He really enjoys his work and being able to build a relationship with his patients over time.
On his days off, Terry often plans fun family outings. He enjoys fishing, and has a small pontoon boat that he enjoys during the summer. In the winter he loves to ice fish with family and friends.
Terry loves being a dad. He has fun going to the park with Liam. In the evening, he reads to our son, and cuddles with him while watching cartoons. He is very excited to become a dad again and add to the fun.

About Suzy…
Suzy is an amazing wife. I appreciate Suzy’s selfless love for our son. Her love as a mother far exceeds what words can describe. She cherishes the opportunity to love, care for, and teach any child who enters our family.
Suzy loved working as a pediatric nurse for many years, but has enjoyed staying home full-time during this phase of life. Suzy plans to stay home while any of our children are young.
Suzy enjoys being outdoors, going on hikes, and gardening. She also loves to do crafts. She enjoys crocheting and has crocheted many cute toys for the coming baby. Another hobby she has is cake decorating, and she loves to make amazing cakes for our son’s birthdays.
About Liam…
Liam brightens everyone’s day. He is extremely social and outgoing and loves to be around his friends and other people. Liam loves animals, especially dogs. Rain or shine, he loves to be outside running with our dog Molly.
Liam loves to play with dinosaurs and he also really loves to pretend that he is Spiderman!
Liam is very excited about the idea of becoming a big brother. When asked if he wants a baby brother or sister, he always says he wants 2!

Our home and pets…
We live in a nice home in a suburb of Denver, Colorado. We have wonderful neighbors and there are many kids on our cul-de-sac. We live within walking distance of many nice parks, and have an amazing sledding hill at the bottom of our block.
We are just a short drive to many nice hiking trails in the Rocky Mountains. We also enjoy winter activities in the mountains like skiing and ice fishing.
We share our home with 2 Cats, Sammi and Zoey, and our newest addition our dog, Molly. All our pets are wonderful with children. Sammi is a sweet Calico cat, who loves to purr and cuddle. Zoey is a spunky energetic gray tabby. At times she will plays fetch with miniature soccer balls. Molly is a Cockalier and is very affectionate and playful.
Our families…
Our families are so excited that we have plans to adopt again. Suzy’s family lives in town and we enjoy getting together with them throughout the year and for holidays. Liam is often able to meet up for play dates with his cousins.
Terry has some family within the Denver metro area, but his parents are currently living in Hong Kong. Although his family lives far, we get to spend lots of time with them, because when they visit they stay in our home for a couple months. We enjoy doing lots of special activities when grandparents come to visit.

Thank you…
Thank you for taking the time to get to know our family. We are praying for you as you weigh and balance these difficult decisions for the future. We are so thankful that there are brave women and families like you in this world.
We would love to share an open adoption with you where you and your family can feel secure knowing your child is doing well through updates and/or visits. If you choose to have less contact, we promise to tell your child of the strength and love you have for them as you made difficult decisions for their life and future.
We feel so blessed to be able to be on this adoption journey. We are excited to have another little one join our family. Any child who enters our family will be an immeasurable gift from God. We will love and cherish them unconditionally.
With Love,
Terry and Suzy
