Waiting Parents: Missy and John

Howdy! We are John and Missy from TX! We have been married for 6 years and have been together for 10 years.

We are so excited and honored that you are considering us to be the adoptive parents of your child. We know this is an incredibly difficult decision, but there is no greater act of love than making an adoption plan for your baby. This is a decision that will have a profound impact on your child’s life, and we admire your strength, kindness and selfless generosity in pursuing it. It is a testament to the type of person that you are and the love that you have for your unborn child.

John is the kindest, gentlest person I know. He is the epitome Renaissance man with a zest for life! He is the rock of our family and inspires confidence in those around him to be themselves. He is a fantastic listener and family and friends often look to him for advice or consolation. He shows his love to people through the little things and by making every person feel important and heard. Cooking is one of his favorite hobbies and he loves sharing his creations with family and friends to mark special occasions! I am very proud to call him my husband.

Missy is a special, unique person who leaves an impression on everyone who meets her. She is gentle and kind and humble. She has a generous heart and spirit, always eager to offer a helping hand to friend or stranger alike. She is smart and funny and quick-witted, often leaving me in tears laughing at one of her jokes! She is creative and artistic with an eye for fashion. She is patient and loving and nurturing.

One of my favorite things is to watch her interact with our nieces.  They all idolize her, and she is definitely the family favorite!  She is a woman of principle and quiet strength.  She is always able to lift me up during difficult times.  But perhaps the best way to describe her is happy.  She has a way about her that just makes you smile.  She is an incredible woman and wife, and I know she will be a wonderful mother, too.
