Waiting Parents: Matthew and Katherine
We are Matthew and Katherine, and we thank you for taking a few minutes to get to know us. We are praying for you and your little one(s) as you navigate this chapter in your life.
We have been together almost 12 years and married now for over 8 years. We have always had to desire to be parents, as we do not currently have any of our own. We currently live in Waxahachie, TX, south of Dallas. We are active members of Christ the King Lutheran Church near our home and serve in various ways that utilize our talents. Our faith is something that we connected through and has built a strong base to our relationship. Our hope is that our child would also be able to grow up to share our faith.
Katherine received her degrees in Accounting, is a licensed CPA, and now works in Audit Technology. She has been working from home since 2013. At church, Katherine serves as the Treasurer for the Church Council and on occasion, she and Matthew serve as greeters on Sunday mornings. Katherine loves to spend time with her family, going on walks with her dog, Wrigley, and baking.
Matthew received his degree in Mechanical Engineering and loves working at a major/global Aerospace company. Matthew also works from home with the occasional travel week. Matthew serves as a greeter on Sunday mornings with Katherine and has been known to appear in a youth group production or two! Matthew loves to make Katherine laugh, spending time with family, playing basketball with his nephews, or a good video game.
Our dog, Wrigley, was adopted from a rescue group in 2015 while we were still dating. Wrigley is a unique mix of breeds with Catahoula Leopard dog and Shar Pei. His favorite things are to go for walks, visiting with Gammie and Pop-Pop (Katherine’s parents), car rides, playing with his toys, having an afternoon treat and snuggling on the couch with us.
