Waiting Parents: Matt and Alyssa
To one of the strongest women we know:
We are Matt, Alyssa, Hannah, Kayson and Kona (pup) McHugh! Thank you for learning about our family! Matt and I met through mutual friends in 2016 and have been married for 7 years. On May 18, 2020 (our two year anniversary) Hannah Grace was born and we adopted her into our family forever through Lifetree. We consider her birth family to be our family and have stayed in contact and seen them several times since she was born. In 2022, we got pregnant with Kayson, and our two girls have blessed us beyond belief with their laughter, creativity, curiosity, and love for each other. Hannah loves gymnastics and school, Kayson loves reading and singing, and they both love playing baby dolls together. We are beyond excited for the opportunity to grow our family through adoption with Lifetree and to experience the grace and love of Jesus in this unique way once again.
A little bit about us: Matt is a pastor and Alyssa works in healthcare from home. Our flexible schedules have given us so much time with our children that we will never take for granted. Matt loves Alyssa’s kindness, and Alyssa love’s Matt’s pure heart and the fact that our children always feel so safe and at peace with him. For fun, we love to swim, hike, travel, listen to music, play silly games that the girls make up, eat good food, and spend lots of time with our church and friends.
Our home is two stories, 4 bedrooms, with a large backyard and deck where we like to host friends and family. Alyssa’s sister lives in the Dallas area and has adopted from Lifetree 3 times. She is very close to her mom who lives on the East Coast but travels to be together often. Matt’s family mostly lives in California, but also come to see us on a regular basis and vice versa. The girls absolutely love and adore all of their cousins (10 in total and counting).
We want you to know we think so incredibly highly of you. We know you love your child more than anything, and we promise your child will always know that you have given them the biggest gift of their lives. We absolutely respect you and your decisions for your baby. We are just so honored you are taking the time to learn about our family.
